About

I am a life long artist with a strong interest in animal and people portraiture and illustration. I primarily work in pastel, graphite, pen and ink and oil. My background includes an amazing education from Philadelphia College of Art (now known as The University of the Arts) where I graduated with a BFA in Illustration.
After college I lived and worked in Manhattan at Heinrici Fine Art Print Studio as a color matcher in Soho, NY, a visual merchandiser for Macy's windows at Herald Square, NY and then Joy's Classic Copies. After Joy's Classic Copies closed, I began my own fine oil reproduction business where I created original oil paintings in collaboration with decorators and art collectors.
In the last five years I have narrowed my focus to my own original art.
I have had the good fortune of working with and donating some of my art to Last Hope Animal Rescue in an effort to raise awareness to support their amazing rescue work. I took charge of designing their 30th Gala Celebration Program and created their 2017 and 2016 annual holiday card fundraiser. It has been extremely rewarding for me as an artist to get people's attention using imagery I create to help animals in need and I look forward to doing more of this in the future.

I live in Long Island, New York with my soulmutt Priscilla and my artist husband Anthony. In my spare time I like to visit our son Ian at his home in Brooklyn, NY as well as spend time in NYC visiting museums and galleries, theater and comedy shows. I also enjoy hikes on the beaches of Long Island and riding my bicycle around my neighborhood.
